Multiscale.Sim 2023R1 Release Notes

Support for Ansys® 2023R1

Latest release of Multiscale.Sim® supports Ansys Workbench 2023R1 and Mechanical APDL2023R1.

Template to create microstructures

Multiple material is supported in particle dispersed model

The model creation template for multiple particle dispersion supports multiple materials. For systems in which particles of multiple materials coexist, a model can be created by specifying the filling factor and particle size distribution for each material.

Coupling with Moldex3D for RTM simulation

The interface to link drape simulation with Moldex3D® is provided. This feature enable us to perform the analysis for injection process during Resin Transfer Molding (RTM in short). Injection analysis can consider distribution of permeability coefficients depended on the microstructure change such as fiber orientation. Microstructure change during press molding process can be evaluated by Ansys Composite PrepPost. Permeability coefficients as a functions of fiber orientation can be evaluated by Multiscale.Sim. By combining the results from both simulations, the permeability coefficients can be mapped.
