Multiscale.Sim 2022R1 Release Notes
1. Ansys® 2022R1 Support
Multiscale.Sim is now compatible with Ansys APDL2022R1 and Mechanical APDL2022R1.
2. Integration with External Tools
2.1. Ansys® Rocky™
Micro models can now be created in SpaceClaim using particle distributions obtained from Ansys Rocky analysis (particle shape is limited to spherical). Ansys Rocky's analytical model can be modeled as a unit cell by specifying any extracted region and used for numerical material testing analysis.
2.2. Autodesk Moldflow®
Based on the fiber orientation ratio obtained in Moldflow, physical properties of elastic modulus and elasto-plastic/creep properties can now be mapped for structural analysis.
* Moldflow is a trademark or registered trademark of Autodesk Inc.
3. Nonlinear Homogenization Analysis
3.1. Curve fitting of Drucker Prager CAP Model (βfunction)
Stress-strain properties obtained from numerical material tests of compression can now be used to perform curve-fit analysis using the Drucker Prager CAP model to obtain equivalent property values. This material model is suitable for materials such as powders and porous materials that have plastic behavior under hydrostatic stress components.
4. Micro model Creation Template
4.1. SpaceClaim®Porting of DesignModeler™ Functionality
The following four micro-modeling templates implemented in DesignModeler have been ported to SpaceClaim.
