CO2 reduction is becoming one of the primary responsibilities for manufacturers, in product development especially forcar manufacturer there is an urgent requirement to meet the conflicting demand of fuel economy and other performance.In order to meet the demand, the energy analysis of the whole vehicle is becoming indispensable. In this research,multi-domain simulation using IEEE standardized simulation modeling was applied to the whole vehicle model andvalidated. The result shows that estimation of fuel economy at planning stage ensure the discussion for conflicting performance and the discussion for transient fuel economy, e.g. under warming up process. The IEEE1076.1 is promoted by AK-30 working of VDA, and SAE committee. In Japan the similar activity was launched in IEEJ. The spread of the standard is expected to provide better coordinating and better development efficiency between OEM and suppliers.
